Description:
The Assistant Director of Clinical Services supports our hospital in the daily operational management, business development and workforce management to deliver high quality safe care for our consumers, staff and organisation.
- This includes delivering professional leadership to over 200 FTE with 7 Nurse Unit Managers reporting to the role.
- The role reports to the Director of Clinical Services and supports the GPH executive team in the advancement of our health care services to achieve our strategic and organisational priorities.
- The portfolio covers maternity, emergency medicine, mental health, specialty clinics, general medical, vascular and cardiothoracic units.
Key deliverables include;
- Be a part of the clinical leadership team and participate within the hospital key governance committees.
- Support the development and delivery of our facilities strategic goals.
- Daily patient flow management to optimise patient safety and our service demand.
- Leading continuous improvement projects, including change management.
- Manage resources aligned to budget and clinical need.
- Design and implement strategies to improve patient and staff experience.
- Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders through fostering and maintain relationships.
- Provide mentorship, empower staff, promote professional development and effective team building.
About You
To succeed in this role:
- Qualified health professional with experience in a senior clinical management role within an acute care hospital. Relevant post-graduate tertiary health care qualifications in Business or Management will be well regarded.
- Demonstrate innovative leadership that supports staff, patients and our organisation according to the Ramsay’s Management principles.
- Experience in effective human resource management.
- Demonstrate risk minimisation through workplace health and safety, injury management, infection control and clinical incident management.
- Be flexible and adapt to change within a fast paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
