About the Team
Digital Service Performance Branch will provide trusted advice to government on digital services and their performance. Over the next six months, the branch will establish and maintain a blueprint that visualises the connections between service delivery platforms, services and capabilities together, develop standards and performance measurements for Government to deliver and maintain “good” digital services, while also identifying and measuring performance breaking points for digital services and advising Government on options for digital first government service delivery.

About the role
The Government’s Cheif Assistant Director - Digital Advisor - Executive Level 1 , will contribute to a range of complex policy issues including developing and implementing major government reforms. As a part of the new branch, you will contribute to its design and support the Director to establish and maintain a blueprint on the digital landscape of government that visualises the connections between service delivery platforms, services and capabilities together, aligning to the vision set within the gency.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of APS staff and consultants to develop a blueprint of the digital services eco-system.
  • Lead research and engage across the agency to make connections and inform the digital services blueprint.
  • Analyse the digital landscape, to understand complexities, pain points, and opportunities for digital transformation and develop artefacts to inform agencies advice to Government.
  • Provide timely, expert and strategic advice, develop communications, and quality assure documents.
  • Provide a significant contribution to innovation and establishment of the branch.

Eligibility , Skills and Experience

  • Applicant must be an Australian Citizenship with min Baseline Security clearance is mandatory
  • Demonstrate experience in managing complex policy issues including developing and implementing major government reforms.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and has an aptitude for collaboration and negotiation with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • A high level of organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage multiple high priority items in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstate leadership skills, with skills to mange and lead a team.
