About the role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your career in the mining industry? Thiess is seeking an Asset Administrator to join our Assets team at the Thiess’ Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) in Darra, Queensland.
As an Asset Administrator at the CRC, you will play a critical role to provide timely and accurate administrative and functional support to enable the Asset Operations team to focus on delivering successful project outcomes.
The role requires the management of relevant subcontractor's timesheets, invoices, payments, and ensures team information is timely and accurate. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering ‘Procure to Pay’ processes in-line with the CIMIC Group procurement policy. The role will also provide processing and reconciling subcontract and hired equipment orders, generating and maintaining purchase orders in Thiess’ ERP (JDE) and enable accurate processing and payment of invoices for our suppliers.
As a successful candidate, you will also assist with onboarding new employees with system access requests, training, movement of vehicles in JDE, site onboarding, and ICT requirements. You will be expected to complete weekly and fortnightly journals of employee costs and manage the accounts payable workflow. Furthermore, you will manage stationery supplies for the TCRC.
About you
You have previously worked in an asset administrator position, ideally within the mining or asset industries. You must also be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and JDE or similar ERP software. In addition, you possess strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management abilities.
You will strive to promote a culture of safety within Thiess Mining, complying with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations, and statutory obligations at all times.
You have a willingness to minimise maintenance expenses that will exemplify your exceptional work ethic to assist the CRC Finance Officer as needed.
Further, you have demonstrated perseverance in upholding cost-effectiveness without compromising safety and recognise opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
