Description:


As the Apprenticeship Consultant, you will facilitate a relationship between the Apprentice and Employer for coordinating students within the life cycle of Apprenticeship and Trainee Programs. The Apprenticeships Consultant collaborates with a team of Apprenticeship Officers and a dispersed network of staff engaged in the complete processes for apprenticeship enrolments. Their role involves developing individual learning plans and formalising workplace training plans to accommodate the needs of both employers and their employees.

The role offers support and guidance to apprentices and trainees throughout their learning journey, facilitating assessments to attain high quality learning outcomes, and ensuring fulfillment of on-the-job training, assessment, and future learning requirements within the VET Quality Framework and Apprenticeships Australia guidelines. It maintains consistency in implementation of enrolment process, upholding data integrity through documentation and training. Additionally, it ensures compliance with pertinent legislation and/or quality standards, meet operational deadlines and deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will thrive in a highly regulated, customer-service environment, and will anticipate industry training requirements. They will work closely with colleagues across the University, ensuring smooth end-to-end processes and consistency in service provision across colleges and campus locations.

About You

To be successful, you will require:
 

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification and/or several years’ experience in a managerial role in a highly regulated industry and/or complex
  • organisation. Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex processes or regulations, to provide clear information to customers in stressful situations and to communicate with staff at all levels of the University including front-line customer service officers and senior executives.
  • High-level written communication skills, with the ability to draft easy-to-understand and professionally written policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions and content for websites and mobile applications.
  • An outstanding commitment to customer service for internal and external customers, and for infusing back-of-house teams with a passion for customer outcomes alongside administrative excellence.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of processes and practices, with good analytical skills and knowledge of customer-led / voice of the customer programs.
  • Advanced level of technical proficiency in administrative systems and platforms, including the use of large corporate databases and MS Office software, and efficient work practices to stay organise and on top of busy workflows.
