… to commence their 4-year apprenticeship in January 2023 at Yallourn Power Station. During this period, you will rotate through the power station and mine maintenance teams, completing trade training through both TAFE Gippsland and site-based work. You will have the opportunity to learn and perform a range of repairs, installations, maintenance and fitting on plant, equipment and machinery within the Power Station, utilising hand and power tools in a workshop environment. As an Apprentice, all work and development opportunities are conducted under the strict supervision and guidance of qualified trade employees and includes modules of learning through an accredited external provider.

• Year 12 or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve
• A technical aptitude, which will be assessed during the process
• A commitment to undertake and complete formal training at TAFE
• Demonstrated safety awareness and practical aptitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• OHS Construction Induction, or a willingness to obtain it
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
