Application Architect

Description:

As an Application Architect in our team, you are going to be designing, documenting, building and improving products that support firefighters and other emergency responders to combat bushfires, as well as helping to keep the community safe. You will be joining a highly motivated team driven to deliver great products and support our frontline emergency management response. You will be responsible for solution design and architecture of new and enhanced applications within our Emergency and Land management Platform and using your software development experience to work closely with implementation teams to guide the delivery of IT solutions spanning multiple systems and teams.

Responsibilities:

• Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their needs and devise effective technology solutions to meet them.
• Design and document application architecture and data flows for web and mobile applications.
• Take a leadership role in the design and delivery of IT solutions and improvements spanning multiple systems and delivery teams.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to support business analysts and product owners.
• Use your hands on experience in software development and public cloud to assist in the development of emergency management applications using Microsoft Azure, .NET Core, SQL Server & Angular (Typescript).
• Expected to be able to work both autonomously and within a team whilst providing creative solutions to problems.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
 

• Experience interpreting business requirements and then designing and documenting web and mobile application solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Experience developing software with C# (.NET Core) and SQL Server, Familiarity with Angular 9 is an advantage.
• A focus on customer service and resolving problems.
• Self-motivated and ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
