As our Compliance Analyst, you will contribute to the independent review, advice and challenge of initiatives, issues and incidents in the Business. You will also be responsible for associated data analysis and report preparation. You will support implementation of regulatory change, helping to ensure the Business Bank complies with financial services obligations, and that any conduct risks are properly managed.

We are seeking a collaborative individual who is dedicated to building strong relationships within the compliance team and with our Business Bank partners. You will have the ability to deep-dive and really understand business division’s products and services and to contribute to first class compliance advice. You will be committed to learning about control design and testing methodologies and contribute to supporting the Business Bank in implementing compliant controls and processes.

About you

You'll come armed with excellent time management skills, a curious eye to find solutions and the ability to meet deadlines. You understand the importance of working within a highly regulated industry - esp with your legal educational background - and are willing to learn and understand financial services obligations including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, ASIC Act, Corporations Act, ASIC Regulatory Guides and Privacy Act.

Ideally you have experience working in the Australian banking or financial services industry, but this is not a pre-requisite for the right candidate - we can teach you all the jargon. You will have a continuous improvement mindset and the skills to learn financial services laws and regulations and to apply them in a practical way.
