About the Role The Admissions and Progressions Officer provides support to the student admissions and progression functions, as well other duties undertaken by the Faculty Operations Team. This support includes assisting students and other stakeholders.The position will be based at the centrally located UTS Campus in Ultimo and will report directly to the Faculty Operations Manager. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Administration of undergraduate and postgraduate international coursework admissions applications.
  • Developing the necessary spreadsheets, tools and guidance documentation to administer assessment of coursework admissions applications by the Faculty; and interpret the relevant admissions policies to provide advice to the Faculty’s Director of Students with regard to admissions applications.
  • Provide advice and assistance to the Academic Programs Officer as required to administer student admissions functions; and to share expertise on rules and regulations related to progressions and admissions.
  • Administering graduation and conferrals functions, including developing and maintaining the Faculty’s University Medal data and production of level of award calculations for Law students.
  • Identifying the Law Prize and Dean’s Merit List recipients in support of the Faculty’s Annual Prize Night.
  • Manage administrative functions related to Internal Course Transfers between lower and higher level courses; and other student progressions tasks as required.
  • Carry out analysis and provide advice on the impact of proposed curriculum changes on students.
