Starting out in your sustainability career can be an exciting and rewarding experience. As the Membership Administrator, you will develop your administration and customer service skills while gaining knowledge about sustainability, waste management, and circular economy principles.

You will work with a small team of passionate professionals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and society.

Duties
 

  • Act as a primary point of contact for Members, providing support through various channels, including phone, email, video call, and face-to-face interactions
  • Provide excellent administration and assist in the coordination of compliance
  • Ensure the CRM and electronic filing are updated with all relevant data
  • Attend meetings with new and prospective Members
  • Assist in the facilitation of events, including the APCO Annual Awards
  • Maintain professional relationships with Members, regulators, industry representatives, and special interest groups
  • Manage bounce-back emails
  • Support the development of Member communications
     

Skills and Experience
 

  • A genuine passion and interest in sustainability, recycling and/or circular economy
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Excellent business administration and strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong sense of initiative to support a team with a can-do attitude
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both as an active team member and independently
  • Tertiary degree in environmental, sustainability or management
