About the Role
You will be working in a dynamic team work environment assisting the mental health team with general administrative support and phone reception duties in a friendly, courteous manner to a broad population of elderly people, their carer’s and families, professional staff and community services. The role supports both inpatient and community services and there may be opportunity to support other teams at St. George’s. The position is office hours for up to 4 days per week, permanent part time and the successful applicant will be experienced, enthusiastic, organised and, self-motivated.

Duties

  • Efficient administrative assistance to clinical staff

  • Coordination of outpatient appointments

  • Telephone enquiries, some audio typing, data entry

  • Fleet car and office management

  • Medical record keeping and statistics reporting.

 

Classification for this position will be HS1 ($58,442 per annum pro r

 

Your Contribution

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work with minimum supervision in varied work environments

  • Computer skills – including word processing, spreadsheets and database

  • Empathetic and culturally competent communication

  • Administrative experience working in psychiatry, aged care or medical areas is desirable
