Description:
A council located located in the Central Highlands region of Victoria north-west of Melbourne are hiring an Infrastructure Administration Support Officer to start ASAP and provide essential administrative and customer service support for the Infrastructure & Development Services department on a 2-month contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Serve as the main point of contact for customer requests via Closing the Loop (Knack), providing timely and accurate responses.
- Administration: Assist the Manager Operations with tasks such as minute taking and drafting written responses. Manage the Infrastructure roster system, including staff availability and after-hours call-outs. Maintain accurate data in operational systems like Plant Assessor and ChemAlert.
- Occupational Health & Safety: Organise and manage training for Infrastructure staff, including sourcing providers, coordinating attendance, and maintaining training documentation.
- Procurement: Handle procurement tasks as directed, including creating Work Orders in TechOne and liaising with suppliers.
- Emergency Management: Support emergency response and recovery efforts in line with the Municipal Recovery Plan.
Requirements
- Ability to prepare routine correspondence and reports
- General understanding and ability to perform administration tasks.
- Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Skilled in managing time and planning and organising own work.
- Tech One experience
- Local Council Experience
- Police check
