This is a Full Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Department of Cardiac Surgery.

The purpose of the Administration Officer role is to provide a high level of administration support to the Department of Cardiac Surgery with particular focus on secretarial support to the Consultant Cardiac Surgeons.

What You’ll Achieve
 

  • Provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the cardiac consultants including diary management, scheduling of meetings and triaging phone calls, management of their On-Call Roster and assisting with research follow-up information.
  • Demonstrate advanced computer and administrative skills with audio typing of operation reports, correspondence and management of various database spreadsheets required for the unit.
  • General office administration duties including responsibility for ordering office supplies and arranging IT service requests, collecting/sorting mail, managing department email.
  • Execution of weekly waitlist / preadmission tasks required for the cardiac surgery department and families waitlisted for cardiac surgery.
     

Your Skills And Experience
 

  • Technical administration training with several years' experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work and contribute as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of established administrative processes.
