About the role:
The Water Police is seeking a pro-active administration officer to join the team.
Water Police provides specialist support for the State of Victoria through the role of coordinating all marine search and rescue incidents and law enforcement of the marine environment.
The Administration Officer will provide a range of administrative and financial support functions specific to the units.
Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Provide a range of administrative support functions.
  • Create agendas and take minutes for meetings.
  • Undertake financial and purchasing administration.
  • Order stationary and other items as needed.
  • Manage file movements.
  • Preparation of reports.
  • Attend to telephone and email enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Arrange travel bookings.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Ability to maintain systematic and accurate administrative records
  • Excellent computer skills and proven experience with various software packages
  • Proven ability in the prioritisation of work with minimal supervision
  • Commitment and achievement in meeting a high level of customer service to all clients
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience in data entry and word processing.
