Accounts Payable Officer

 

Description:


Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Accounts Payable Supervisor. The role is to assist with the AP transition where centralisation is happening.

Your Duties Include
 

  • Process PO and non-PO invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform EFT checking and validation for payment runs.
  • Address invoice discrepancies and liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure accounts are up to date.
  • Support the team with ad hoc AP tasks as required.
  • Adapt to process changes during the transition to the cloud-based CIA platform.
  • Maintain compliance with financial controls and organizational policies.
  • Support the accounts receivable team when required
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be required
     

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience within the accounting/AP space with an Accounting background. You will also bring:
 

  • Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years and above of experience in similar role
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Previous experience within not for profit - ideal but not mandatory
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Experience with large ERP systems - TechnologyOne CIA is highly preferred but not mandatory
