Accounting Internship

Xavier Knight has an exciting accounting internship opportunity for a motivated person with a desire to learn and work with a CPA mentor who has 13+ years professional experience.

If you are a fresh accounting graduate or going to complete your degree soon from Uni or TAFE or newly migrated to Australia as an accountant but need local work experience then this is an excellent opportunity to kick start your accounting career.

The internship will commence in January 2022, and is a full time, 3-month internship based in our CBD office, where WFH is an option.

THE ROLE

You will learn all the accounts functions of a well-established engineering consultancy firm. The area of experience you will gain during the internship period:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Bank Reconciliation
• Payroll
• Staff expense claim
• End of Month Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Company financial statements preparation
• Activity Statements (IAS/BAS, GST, PAYGW, PAYGI)
• Budget and Forecast
• System: Xero, Hubdoc, Total Synergy, Power BI
• Extensive use of MS Excel

• Team player with great energy
• Currently studying accounting
• High attention to detail and motivation towards furthering your skills
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
• International student visa holder also eligible to apply for this position
