Accountant

An opportunity currently exists for a motivated individual to join our accounting team as an Accountant. Located in Brisbane, QLD, this role will assist with monthly accounting and reporting duties and provide support to Managerial, Administrative and Operational staff.

This is a 12-month maternity leave contract with a potential opportunity for extension in a similar role.

Duties:

• Provide support with preparation of month and year end processes
• Provide support with budget preparation, monthly forecasts and financial statements
• Provide support with any tax related reporting, including FBT and income tax
• Review of general ledger reconciliations
• Oversee group bank facilities including bank reconciliations and daily cashflow
• Manage the equipment finance facilities including new contracts and regular payments
• Any other duties as associated with the role

Skills and Experience:

• Accounting degree or other relevant degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• ERP system experience – Pronto preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
• Understanding of accounting standards
• Excellent communication, organisational and management skills;
• High attention to detail.
