Account Manager

Description:

Reporting to the General Manager, the objective of this position is to develop and increase the demand and market awareness of the Container Deposit Scheme. Concurrently, this role is responsible for the engagement of new business opportunities within the designated territory. You will need to build and foster relationships with State Government, community groups, local government and major industry bodies in addition to further enhancing with existing relationships with major retailers and property owners. This role requires extensive engagement and stakeholder management to ensure a successful transfer from contracts being signed to installation and operations. In addition to generating new site locations, you will give provide technical support, advice, and planning throughout your assigned zone. Your main duties will include the following:

• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Identify and sign new return point partners as required from time to time.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships across the return point network.
• Completeness of scheduled site inspections and associated audit requirements and documentation.
• Develop the highest standard in professional conduct, personal presentation and company image.

What you'll need to succeed

• Sales, account management and/or business development skills
• Customer service skills
• Exposure to retail highly desirable
• Customer complaint handling ability
• Stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of the Return and Earn CDS scheme is desirable
• Exposure to account management and business development within a commercial business
• Current drivers licence and COVID vaccination certificate
• Able to start in May-June 2023
• Open to a 9 month fixed term contract
• Preferably living in Western metro Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong areas
