Description:

We are looking for a keen individual to join a client of mine in the Insurance space as an Account Manager!

Who will you be working with?

The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with a highly driven and enthusiastic team, working across all General Insurance risks and hands-on with the team. This is a diverse role where no two days will be the same. You will be part of a fun and energetic team!

What will you be doing?

  • Describing insurable risk to your clients, designing appropriate insurance solutions and negotiating and managing the best deal in the global insurance market for them.
  • Managing relationships with our underwriting partners
  • Managing your own budget, sales plan and debtors
  • Providing mentoring and coaching to more junior employees
  • Driving new business development
  • Liaise with other departments of the business to ensure the implementation of agreed strategies or updates/processes
  • Communicate professionally with and develop relationships with brokers including some market-facing activities alongside the distribution team

What do you need?

  • Insurance broking/industry experience of at least 5 years
  • A proven ability to understand and meet a client’s needs
  • Strong technical skills in coverage and wording review
  • Experience with the placement and servicing of complex clients
  • Intermediate proficiency in all MS Office products and Outlook
  • Sales orientated with the ability to build a long-term pipeline to support new business growth
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both on an individual and small group basis
