An exciting opportunity has become available for an Account Executive to join Marsh Risk Management in Melbourne. This position in Team Services, will assist the Senior Account Executives, Principal and Managing Principal in all aspects of client services including client contact, administration and technical support.
The suitable candidate will have exposure to the insurance industry in any class of insurance with 2-4 years’ experience in a corporate environment, good attitude and brilliant organisation skills. Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking is provided.
Working with a team responsible for portfolio of clients including Transport and Logistics, Personal Protective Equipment, and Port Logistics Owners and Operators. There is a strong focus on supporting Global Account Management so bring your passion to learn. This role will grow into a specialised Account Broking career and provide exposure and interaction with the global Marsh offices.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Assist Senior Account Executives/Principals/Managing Principal with the development, implementation and management of risk management and insurance programs which accurately address client needs;
- Assist Senior Account Executives/Principals/Managing Principal with the development and maintenance of effective long term relationships with key client decision makers through regular meetings and liaison;
- Work with Senior Account Executives/Principals/Managing Principal to gain an understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs;
- Implement renewal and broking strategies in accordance with instructions received from Senior Account Executives/Principals/Managing Principal;
- Actively assist Senior Account Executives/Principals/Managing Principal with the development of additional business from their existing portfolios and with the acquisition of new business.
- Apply Company strategies through the provision of new products which benefit the client;
- Assist Senior Account Executives/Principals/Managing Principal with the implementation of appropriate account retention and defence strategies;
- Assist Senior Account Executives/Principals/Managing Principal and Claims personnel with the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients;
- Ensure the timely and accurate production/processing of invoices and related policy accounting documentation, quotation and placing slips and premium and adjustment calculations, along with general administration duties.
- Ensure that accurate up to date records on all clients are maintained at all times and in accordance with Client First Principles;
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation and other relevant legislation;
