About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Academic Programs Coordinator to join the MDHS Academic Programs Policy and Governance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the curriculum management and development functions of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences. You will have the opportunity to coordinate the academic approvals process, contribute to administrative strategies, and collaborate with various learning and teaching committees. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development as you contribute to the strategic goal of reducing the administrative burden for academic staff while improving the student experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide executive support to committees and working groups, including agenda and minutes preparation.
  • Coordinate course and subject approval cycle, liaising with committees, schools, and central teams.
  • Oversee quality of proposals for publication, provide support and training for CAPS users.
  • Develop and improve documentation, processes, and practices to support faculty staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

You will also have:

  • Relevant undergraduate qualification with experience in the higher education sector; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Ability to manage staff resources to ensure high productivity outcomes for the Faculty in relation to approvals and curriculum configuration.
  • Highly developed computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft programs and other specialized software to a high level.
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, with an open mindset.
