The Role
The Academic Programs Adviser provides support and guidance on curriculum approval and accreditation, providing essential support for School staff to ensure the delivery of quality outcomes to students. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with external regulatory standards, and ECU Policy, in relation to the development and review of curriculum. In addition to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders across the university, this role plays a key role in the development and implementation of initiatives to support the ongoing enhancement of academic programs.

Key Criteria

Highly developed interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

Thorough knowledge of the external legislative frameworks affecting higher education providers (i.e HESF, ESOS) and a proven ability to apply and interpret policy in relation to curriculum.

Excellent organisational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple complex issues and prioritise effectively to meet competing deadlines.

Ability to use systems and technologies to facilite and manage curriculum approval and review.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the university, with a proven ability to convey complex information clearly and efficiently.

Ability to develop and implement practical solutions to key issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
