Reporting to the Head of Academic Administration, The Academic Administration Manager (VET) is a senior-level position that will be responsible for implementing the consistency of quality practices, evaluation, and business enhancements of academic quality administration services across Higher Education and Vocational Educational programs, throughout Torrens Global Education.
The Academic Administration Manager will manage and maintain accountability for academic governance requirements across academic policy, course accreditation and renewal, transition and teach out, course build, timetabling, academic progression and exam committees, data management reporting requirements and core academic administration and project delivery functions.
Day-to-day accountabilities:
Develop, and implement improved academic administrative processes in relation to teaching and learning by evaluating existing procedures and liaising closely with the Executive Deans, Associate Deans, and Program Directors (or delegates).
Provide outstanding faculty-wide customer service to senior academic leadership staff across all TUA faculties.
Collaborate with academic leadership and other staff members across TUA faculties and other departments of the University to implement project scope, and deliverables as outlined by the Head of Strategic Operational and Initiatives.
Manage a team that directly supports academic administration across all TUA faculties.
Manage administrative aspects of academic governance committees, including Faculty Learning and Teaching, Examination, Academic Progression, Curriculum Committee, and Course Advisory, ensuring actions and outcomes are aligned with the Terms of Reference, policy and procedure
Ensure course and subject level curriculum data captured and created within academic administration processes is validated and maintained with the highest levels of integrity.
Provide effective management and decision making within the Academic administration team, including supervision to staff, hiring, training, and performance management that ensures a culture of high performance, customer service, teamwork, innovation and workforce capability and development.
Foster collegial relationships with all key stakeholders ensuring that they are involved in the planning, scheduling, resourcing and delivery of specific programs, projects or activities as required
